NURDEF Governance Structure

Under the leadership of the State Minister for Northern Uganda, NURDEF will implement its strategic plan through the following structures

  • NURDEF Annual General Meeting AGM
  • NURDEF Steering Committee and its Advisory board.
  • NURDEF Secretariat
  • NURDEF Technical working group
  • District Chairpersons in Northern Uganda
  • Chief Administrative Officers in Northern Uganda

Delivery mechanism

This Northern Uganda Strategy and Implementation Plan focuses will work by:

  1. Deepening governance in priority setting and addressing the underlying constraints that inhibit investment;
  2. Supporting integrated and inclusive project identification and development planning;
  3. Promoting commercial agriculture
  4. engagement, involvement and expansion of the private sector;
  5. Mindset change and skills development for increased employment;
  6. Enhancing ownership and sustainability for development programme;
  7. Investments in strategic infrastructure;
  8. Cooperatives development; and,
  9. Anchoring development on the parish model expanded scope of financing.
